Haselden’s Business Development Department consists of professionals actively pursuing new projects and maintaining relationships, with a dedicated team supporting qualifications, proposals and interviews. The Senior Proposal Coordinator writes Haselden’s strategic proposal content, refines written strategy and sales points, researches qualifications and proofs, writes persuasive proposal sections tailored to RFP requirements, edits qualifications to meet project scope and strategy, and proofs technical writing.
The team also promotes Haselden Construction and its affiliates as industry leaders in relevant markets and coordinates with corporate marketing to maintain a consistent message and appearance for Haselden Construction.
Job Responsibilities- Manage entire proposal schedule and ensure deliverable milestones are met; oversee production from start to finish within tight time frames across contract delivery methods (CM/GC, Design/Build).
- Create interview materials (slide decks, PowerPoint, boards, leave-behinds, etc.).
- Utilize graphic communication skills to develop proposals, posters, updates, communications, and other content to support business development and marketing objectives.
- Analyze RFQ/P requirements, refine written strategies, and incorporate win themes into RFP/Q responses.
- Proactively develop and execute proposal work plans for project pursuits.
- Write succinct, high-quality content within deadlines addressing project and client needs.
- Identify and adapt relevant existing Haselden content to meet proposal requirements.
- Perform content editing, identify gaps, and work with Division Managers, Business Developers, and Subject Matter Experts to refine content; assist with final proposal quality control.
- Manage CRM/marketing database (Salesforce or similar).
- Prepare marketing materials as needed by the Business Development team.
- Prepare materials for trade shows.
- Manage final photography and archiving for projects.
- Provide market sector research to facilitate development of marketing and proposal content.
- Educate and mentor Project Coordinators on the proposal generation process and demonstrate expected proposal quality through your work.
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Marketing, Journalism, Communication, English or applicable technical discipline related to the construction industry.
- Minimum six (6) years of proposal/technical writing in the A/E/C industry strongly preferred; solid understanding of the construction industry.
- Prior experience as a Proposal or Marketing Coordinator managing proposal development (preferably in construction).
- Proficient in Adobe, Microsoft Office products, and Bluebeam; strong knowledge of InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Experience with CRM software, preferably Salesforce or similar.
- Exceptional interviewing and writing abilities with attention to detail.
- Ability to work with subject matter experts and proposal teams to produce technical content that is persuasive, compliant with RFP requirements.
- Strong persuasive writing and editing skills; excellent command of English grammar, spelling, and composition; strong oral communication.
- Ability to multi-task, stay organized, and meet deadlines on multiple proposals.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with people at all levels.
- Graphic design aptitude for layouts of proposals, brochures, newsletters, booklets, posters, signs, and other printed materials.
- Self-starter with the ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility to modify work hours as required by the proposal process.
- High energy, enthusiasm, tenacity, and creativity.
- Portfolio or examples of past creative work encouraged.
The salary range for this position is $84,000 to $100,000 per year. Salary to be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, location where job is performed. Haselden does not discriminate in wages based on protected categories.
