Overview

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Big Sky Country has been serving the youth of Southwest Montana for over 50 years. Our mission is to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth.

Overview of Position

The Program Manager is responsible for delivering and supporting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Big Sky Country (BBBS-BSC) mentoring programs, which may include community-based, site-based, and match-support models. While this role is designed to be responsive to program needs as they evolve, the current primary area of responsibility is the Gallatin Valley, with a particular emphasis on community-based mentoring programs.

The Program Manager serves as an engagement and outreach specialist, building BBBS-BSC’s visibility in the Gallatin Valley and actively recruiting volunteer mentors (Bigs) and youth (Littles). This role works closely with local government, schools, families, businesses, and community partners to grow awareness of BBBS-BSC and strengthen community relationships.

Core responsibilities include outreach and recruitment, enrollment and screening of Bigs and Littles, match facilitation, and ongoing match support to ensure safe, high-quality mentoring relationships. The Program Manager also plans and executes match activities, volunteer events, community presentations, and recruitment events that foster connection and strengthen engagement with the organization.

This position may lead or support BBBS-BSC fundraising and community engagement events, including serving as a primary staff lead for certain signature events. As part of the BBBS-BSC Program Team, this position may need to offer and support other Program Managers roles as well, offering help in the other program locations (Livingston, Ennis, Billings and Big Sky).

This role requires a high-level of customer service and organization, focusing on youth safety and youth and volunteer needs throughout the program. The Program Manager helps create a welcoming, mission-driven experience for youth, families, and volunteers while contributing to a collaborative and supportive team culture.

Salary and Benefits

The Bozeman Program Manager reports directly to the Program Director.

The salary range is from $38,000-$41,000 per year, based on a 32-40 hour work week, as workload necessitates.
