Position: Philanthropic Advisor (FT- 1.0 FTE, Variable Shift)

Philanthropic Advisor

The Philanthropic Advisor works in close collaboration with Foundation team members and must be highly motivated to secure financial support for our mission-driven programs and projects. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a strong understanding of fundraising strategies and a self-driven, results-oriented mindset to achieve fundraising goals and drive measurable impact.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree business, communications, marketing or a related field
  • Three (3) years of non-profit fundraising experience soliciting gifts from individuals
  • Demonstrated non-profit development experience with working knowledge of how all aspects of philanthropy interrelate for the benefit of the donor and the organization.
  • Proficient using donor management software, CRM systems, preferably Raisers Edge/ NXT and other relevant technologies.
Preferred
  • Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE)
  • Professional education coursework completed in the development field
  • Healthcare sector and physician engagement experience and a working knowledge of the region
  • Experience in planned giving with a proven ability to cultivate and secure legacy gifts as part of a comprehensive fundraising strategy
Essential Job Functions:
  • Develop and implement strategies to identify, cultivate and solicit prospective donors to build authentic relationships and foster long-term relationships.
  • Manage a portfolio of giving relationships, in all stages of development, produce quarterly and annual moves management plans, progress reports and advancement toward fundraising and relationship building metrics following established KPI's.
  • Produce professional and well-written correspondence and proposals and present an articulate and compelling case for support and supporting stewardship impact reportsdonor communications.
  • Maintain a record of accountability, accuracy and documentation in action reports in the CRM Raisers Edge/NXT, gift agreements, proposals and gift recording.
  • Engage physicians and health system team members as contributors and grateful patient referral sources and build trusting relationships with senior residents and volunteers at health system locations.
  • Implement stewardship tactics in collaboration with Foundation team members.
  • Support a diverse range of philanthropic initiatives to achieve annual, major, event and campaign goals.

Schedule Requirements:
  • This role requires regular and sustained attendance.
  • The position may necessitate working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts.
  • On-call work may be required to respond promptly to organizational, patient, or employee needs.

Lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling objects as necessary above the shoulder, requiring strength and stability.

Fine-Finger Movements (Continuously):
Picking, pinching, typing, or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than using the whole hand as in handling.

Close visual acuity to prepare and analyze data and figures and to read computer screens, printed materials, and handwritten materials.

Learn new tasks, remember processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, and make timely decisions in the context of a workflow.
