* Position Summary:

** The Registered Nurse - Pacemaker Electrophysiology assists clinic providers and staff in the deliverance and coordination of patient care, in order to facilitate patient satisfaction, clinic efficiency, and provider productivity. This position is responsible to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while working in a collaborative and cooperative relationship with other members of the health care team. Registered Nurses plan and implement patient and family education.

The Nurse Practices Act and Administrative Rules of the state of Montana govern registered Nursing practice.

* Minimum Qualifications:

**** Required
* ** Bachelors of Science in Nursing
* Montana Licensure (Registered Nurse)
* American Heart Association BLS
* American Heart Association ACLS required within 4 months of hire
* 1 year of nursing experience
** Preferred
* ** International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE) certification within 36 months of hire
* Experience with pacemaker and ICD devices for Biotronic, Medtronic, St. Jude Medical and Boston Scientific.
* Understanding of cardiac arrhythmia management and EKG interpretation of arrhythmias.

* Essential Job Functions:

** In addition to the essential functions of the job listed below, employees must have on-time completion of all required education as assigned per DNV requirements, Bozeman Health policy, and other registry requirements.
* Interrogating devices, monitoring and documenting patients response to device therapy or changes in settings, making adjustments per physician's order, remote pacemaker follow-up management, troubleshooting devices
* Arranges and coordinates follow-up care for patients in the Device Clinic.
* Maintenance of Device Clinic database
* Performs other patient tests and treatments as indicated by the Clinic provider, to include Spirometry, EKG's, Event-Holter Monitors and Ziopatch (application, decontinuation, interpretation)
* Keep examination rooms clean and stocked. Orders supplies.
* Collaborate with provider to coordinate care for Clinic walk-in patients.
* Provide support and education to patients with pacemakers and/or ICD's and with diagnosis of various dysrhythmias (ablation patients).
