House Supervisor - Nursing

Schedule:

Nights with the potential for an occasional day shift; three, 12-hour shifts per week with weekends.

Assignment Details:

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current Montana Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Five (5) years of acute care nursing experience.
• Two (2) hours of verifiable trauma-related education annually.
• Six (6) hours of stroke training annually, with NIHSS counting for three (3) hours.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Coordinate patient care throughout the facility and outpatient areas, ensuring effective communication among staff, patients, families, and healthcare providers.
• Expedite the admission, discharge, and transfer of patients, managing interactions with physicians regarding Utilization Review Inter Qual criteria.
• Facilitate communication for emergency surgeries and collaborate effectively with procedural areas.
• Monitor nursing unit activities, ensuring adequate staffing and alignment with productivity goals.
• Address concerns from department staff, patients, and families in real-time, escalating issues as necessary.
• Implement established policies and procedures, holding staff accountable and promoting positive relations within the healthcare environment.
