Registered Nurse - Mother Baby Float
This is a 13-week contract position.
Variable shift, with 3 mandatory calls in 13 weeks.
The Registered Nurse works in a collaborative and cooperative relationship with other members of the health care team. The RN is responsible for implementing patient and family education, assessing patient needs, and initiating appropriate interventions.
Responsibilities:
- Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation (Assessment).
- Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses or issues (Diagnosis).
- Identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient or situation.
- Develop a plan that prescribes strategies and alternatives to attain expected outcomes (Plan of Care).
- Implement the identified plan of care.
- Promote health and ensure a safe environment.
- Enhance the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice.
- Evaluate nursing practice in relation to professional standards, guidelines, and regulations.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and colleagues in nursing practice.
- Integrate ethical provisions and research findings into practice.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Montana Licensure (Registered Nurse).
- American Heart Association BLS certification.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program Provider certification (recertification required every 2 years).
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring Series Certificate of Completion (or equivalent AWHONN approved course; not required if a Lactation RN).
- Two hours of initial cerebrovascular disease (stroke) education.
- American Heart Association ACLS certification (not required if a Lactation RN).
- If Lactation RN, Certification in lactation consulting/counseling (CLC, IBCLC) is required.
