Black Dog Veterinary Services in beautiful Bozeman, MT is seeking a skilled and motivated Lead Veterinary Technician to join our dedicated team. We are a progressive small animal hospital offering advanced surgeries, dentistry, innovative treatments, and integrative care.

What You’ll Do:

• As our Lead Veterinary Technician, you will play a hands-on role in patient care while also leading, training, and supporting our technician team.
• Responsibilities include monitoring anesthesia and assisting in advanced surgeries.
• Working side by side with the surgery doctor to determine surgical flow and priorities.
• Delegating tasks to ensure efficiency and patient safety.
• Mentoring and training technicians and assistants.
• Onboarding new hires to hospital protocols and standards.
• Assisting DVMs in rooms and running a technician appointment schedule.
• Leading by example to uphold our high standards of medicine and patient care.
• Supporting collaboration between hospital leadership and the technical team.

What We’re Looking For:

• Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT/CVT/RVT) strongly preferred.
• Proven experience in a veterinary technician role.
• 2+ years of anesthesia, surgical, and dental experience required
  .
• Proven ability to monitor anesthesia and assist in complex surgeries.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Experience training and mentoring team members.
• Positive, compassionate, and professional mindset.
• Excited to help shape the success of our hospital’s surgical services.

Competitive pay: $22–$28/hour DOE
