As a Bakery Clerk at Columbus IGA, you play an important role in providing customers with fresh, high-quality bakery products and exceptional customer service. You are responsible for supporting daily bakery operations through product preparation, packaging, stocking, merchandising, and maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards. This position helps create an inviting bakery experience by ensuring products are fresh, well-presented, and readily available to customers.
Success in this role requires attention to detail, teamwork, efficiency, and a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
The essential duties and responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Product Preparation and Merchandising:
Assists with preparing, packaging, labeling, stocking, and displaying bakery products to maintain freshness, presentation standards, and product availability. - Customer Service and Sales Support:
Provides courteous and knowledgeable customer service by assisting with product selection, answering questions, and supporting a positive shopping experience. - Quality Assurance and Product Freshness:
Monitors bakery product quality through proper rotation, handling, and removal of unsatisfactory items to ensure department standards are consistently maintained. - Sanitation, Food Safety, and Compliance:
Maintains a clean and organized work environment while following food safety procedures, sanitation standards, and company
