Job Summary

As a Business Development Manager, you will be primarily responsible for the development of and growth of Key Accounts, new customer prospection and single point sales in a specified region, while being application focused.

Supervisory Responsibilities
  • This position is not responsible for the direct supervision of any employees.
Duties/Responsibilities
  • Acts as the liaison between the company and our Key Customers.
  • Complete ownership of sales process in region from trade show coverage, lead generation and qualification, positioning of product, evaluation of sales opportunity, customer procurement, and post-sales support.
  • Define and execute a sales strategy to meet sales and margin targets.
  • Manage Key Accounts from sales through receivables as assigned by sales management.
  • Provide accurate opportunity and territory forecast based on both prospect pipeline and market analysis.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
  • B.S. or higher in physical science, Engineering or Lasers/Electro-Optics with 5+ years of professional customer support and/or sales experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid US Drivers License and ability to obtain a passport.
Physical Requirements
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk, and hear.
  • Travel requirement up to 50%, including international travel, with a focus of maximizing customer contact during travel.
  • Capable of working in front of a computer for long periods of time.
  • The candidate must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with minimal assistance.
