At Ascent Data, LLC, we are building something new in Bozeman, Montana—and we are looking for a leader who will make it succeed! We are actively recruiting for a Vice President / Regional Manager.
Following the acquisition of an operational data center and managed IT services business, we are investing in the long-term growth of this Bozeman market. We have solid infrastructure in place and strong backing in our Pittsburgh-based headquarters, the foundation is set.
We are seeking a proven, self-directed leader with entrepreneurial drive who can build a market from scratch and win business in complex IT environments.

The RoleAs the senior leader for Bozeman operations, you will own both commercial performance and local execution.
Key responsibilities:
- Build and execute a sales pipeline from scratch
- Drive full-cycle sales from prospecting through close
- Develop and manage customer relationships and service delivery
- Oversee local operations, performance, and revenue growth
This role requires a strong balance of:
- Sales leadership and execution
- Technical fluency in IT infrastructure
- Operational accountability
- 5+ years selling managed IT services, colocation, cloud, or similar B2B technology solutions
- Proven ability to independently generate and close new business (hunter mentality)
- Technical fluency in infrastructure, managed services, networking, and cybersecurity fundamentals
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical executives and non-technical business owners
- Entrepreneurial mindset with comfort operating in ambiguity and building from zero
- Ability to work independently while remaining aligned with executive leadership in Pittsburgh.
- Existing relationships within the Bozeman, Gallatin Valley, or broader Montana business community.
- Experience building or contributing to a sales process, or CRM pipeline from an early-stage commercial environment.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks relevant to regional verticals (HIPAA, CMMC, SOC 2, PCI-DSS).
- Experience selling to or serving healthcare, legal, financial services, construction, or government clients.
- Prior P&L or general management responsibility, even in a small-business context.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally and occasionally to Pittsburgh
- Authorization to work in the United States
$135,000 – $185,000 annual on-target earnings (OTE), inclusive of base salary and variable commission with uncapped upside and top performance potentially exceeding $200,000.
- Variable compensation includes recurring revenue commissions on managed services contracts and one-time commissions on colocation leases, with accelerators for over-performance
