Technician, General Facilities Maintenance

Position Summary Walmart is hiring General Maintenance Technicians! You will make an impact by diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance duties for all commercial equipment to support our stores. You will develop preventative maintenance schedules and complete assigned PMs within the specified timeframe, as well as conduct training for Store Associates regarding care and cleaning of equipment.

• Perform minor repairs on facilities, equipment, or fixtures (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment).
• Complete routine maintenance to ensure safety and proper functionality.
• Manage work orders and routine maintenance schedules by completing and providing required written and electronic information (e.g., expense vouchers, weekly summaries, work orders, maintenance logs).

• Diagnose and repair maintenance issues in store environments.
• Develop and adhere to preventive maintenance plans.
• Conduct training sessions for store associates on equipment care.

• 3 years’ experience in maintenance (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment).
• Hold a valid state‑issued driver’s license for at least 3 years with a clean driving record; ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report.
• Eligible for a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Vocational or Technical certification and 3 years’ experience in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade.
• OR 5 years’ experience in one of those trades.

• Completion of a 2‑year Vocational or Technical trade program.
• License in related trade in the city and/or state where the job is located.
• Intermediate level proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
