Labcorp 2026 Global Internship Program – Software Engineer Intern

Labcorp’s 2026 Global Internship Program offers a 12‑week, full‑time paid internship for software engineering students. The internship focuses on real‑world projects that support Labcorp’s mission of improving health and lives worldwide.

Duration: 12 weeks, full‑time

Dates: May 18, 2026 – August 7, 2026

Compensation: Paid internship; relocation assistance available for qualified candidates

Eligibility: Preferred candidates are rising juniors and seniors (Dec
2026 through June
2028 graduation) currently enrolled in a relevant degree program; all current students pursuing related studies are encouraged to apply.

• Contribute to the development and enhancement of payer web applications using Angular or other modern frameworks.
• Participate in the design and implementation of RESTful APIs and microservices using AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, Dynamo
  
  DB, EC2).
• Assist in building features that enable insurance companies to access Labcorp data, analytics, and services.
• Explore opportunities to apply Gen AI and AI/ML technologies to improve payer experience and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including UX designers, product managers, and QA engineers, through the full software development lifecycle.
• Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, and retrospectives.
• Engage in code reviews and learn industry best practices for secure healthcare application development.

• Bachelor’s degree candidate in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• Solid foundation in at least one modern programming language such as JavaScript/Type Script, Java, Python, or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of data structures (arrays, lists, maps, trees, graphs), algorithms, and object‑oriented design.
• Proactive learner with strong problem‑solving abilities and excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of machine learning fundamentals using Python frameworks (Tensor Flow, PyTorch, scikit‑learn) and interest in exploring advanced AI techniques including agentic AI, RAG, and fine‑tuning.
• Position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Pay Range: $22–$25 per hour.

Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, STD/LTD, 401(k), paid time off, flexible time off, tuition reimbursement and employee stock purchase plan. Casual, PRN & part‑time employees scheduled to work less than 20 hours are eligible to participate in the 401(k) plan only.
