Syngenta offers a 5‑year degree apprenticeship through the University of Kent in Applied Chemical Science BSc (Hons). The programme includes approximately one day per week of online learning and occasional onsite workshops at the university, while apprenticeship work takes place four days weekly at our research centre in Jealott’s Hill (Bracknell).
Your role, as part of a flexible team, will be to generate, analyse and interpret data, carry out problem solving, and report on your findings, contributing to Syngenta’s mission to sustainably feed the planet and developing your scientific career.
Responsibilities• Generate, analyse and interpret laboratory data across three departments—Product Technology & Engineering, product research, development, and analysis.
• Solve problems and report findings to support product development and innovation.
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) – grades A
* to C, including Science, Maths and English. - A total of 80 UCAS points, including preferably a B or higher in A‑Level Chemistry or equivalent; predicted grades are accepted during screening and offers will depend on receiving acceptable points/grades. Alternative experience and qualifications may be considered.
- Live within commuting distance of Jealott’s Hill, or be willing to relocate at your own expense.

- Scientific curiosity and logical problem‑solving ability.

- Starting salary of £24k a year with regular pay reviews and potential increases.
