Overview
A leading UK AV equipment and solutions provider is hiring a dedicated Audio Visual Installer. This is a hands on role focused purely on installing AV systems, no maintenance or long term servicing is involved in this position. If you're skilled in installs, mounts, and configuring hardware on site, this could be your ideal match.
You’ll deliver installations for businesses, education clients, and large venues. Mounting projectors and screens, fitting interactive displays, video conferencing gear, audio systems, and more. Working with internal teams, you’ll travel to sites, follow blueprints/specs, ensure installations are clean, safe, and delivered to spec.
Key Responsibilities- Install AV hardware: projectors (including ultra-short throw etc.), interactive touch displays, video conferencing systems, audio/power distribution, screens, mounts.
- Perform site surveys to assess mounting points, power, cabling routes, environmental considerations.
- Read and follow technical installation drawings and specs.
- Mount, plumb-in, route and terminate cables neatly: HDMI, network, power, signal etc.
- Align, calibrate displays (geometry, keystone etc.), ensure picture/audio quality.
- Ensure all installations comply with health & safety, cable management standards, and aesthetics & workmanship across site.
- Liaise with project coordinators / clients onsite to ensure expectations are met.
- Travel to various sites nationwide when needed; in many cases you’ll be on-site for the bulk of work.
- Proven experience installing AV systems (corporate, education, event, or similar).
- Good working knowledge of mounts, screen/projector alignment, cable termination, AV/VC hardware.
- Comfortable with travel and adapting to varying site conditions.
- Great attention to detail, pride in neat, professional installs.
- Full UK driving licence, clean ideally.
- Good communication skills, ability to work independently after instruction, and team‑orientated.
- Desirable: experience with brands/technologies commonly used in the industry (e.g. Crestron, AMX, Biamp, Yealink, or similar).
- Basic salary £30,000 - £40,000 (depending on experience).
- Company vehicle and fuel card.
