Vehicle Technician / Diagnostic Specialist – No Weekends
We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic to join our independent workshop team in Bracknell. Moving away from rigid corporate targets, we offer a £35,000–£40,000 basic salary, permanent Monday-to-Friday hours (08:00–17:00, strictly no weekends), and ongoing technical training on modern vehicle systems.

Your RoleAs a vital Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic in our Bracknell workshop, you will:
- Carry out routine vehicle servicing
, preventative maintenance, safety health checks, and braking system overhauls. - Execute complex mechanical repairs
, including cambelts, timing chains, clutches, suspension setups, and steering components. - Utilize diagnostic scanners to systematically troubleshoot, isolate, and rectify electrical and mechanical faults.
- Maintain precise digital job records and ensure all work complies with strict quality and safety standards.
- Qualifications &
Experience:
NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 (or City & Guilds / time-served equivalent) with 3 to 5 years of hands‑on experience in a professional workshop. F‑Gas certification is preferred (or an interest in obtaining it). - Licensing: A full UK driving licence is essential.
An active MOT Tester licence is preferred but not required. - Equipment: Must possess your own hand tools for daily workshop repair tasks.
- Key Strengths: Strong diagnostic skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
