The Accountant in Charge will oversee daily accounting operations, manage client accounts, and ensure compliance with tax regulations specific to the construction industry. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing financial statements, conducting audits, and providing tax planning and consulting services. The Accountant in Charge will also work with our Senior Accountant in Charge and report directly to him, hire and mentor junior staff, manage client relationships, and identify opportunities for improving financial procedures.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bradenton, FL.
- Strong expertise in Financial Statement Preparation, Account Reconciliations, and Tax Compliance
- Experience in Tax Planning, Auditing, and Consulting for specialized industries
- Knowledge of construction accounting, including cost tracking and project-based financial management
- Proficiency in Accounting Software and MS Excel
- Supervisory experience and the ability to work with others effectively
- Keen attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple client accounts effectively
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or equivalent certification preferred)
