We are seeking an experienced procurement leader to oversee strategic sourcing, purchasing operations, vendor management, and procurement compliance for a growing healthcare organization. This role will lead initiatives that improve purchasing efficiency, reduce costs, strengthen vendor partnerships, and ensure procurement practices align with organizational goals, regulatory requirements, and operational needs.
The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in strategic sourcing, contract negotiations, vendor management, procurement controls, and leading cross‑functional initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with organizational priorities and budgets
- Establish purchasing policies, procedures, and best practices
- Identify cost savings opportunities and improve spending visibility
- Analyze vendor spending, purchasing trends, and operational needs
- Provide procurement insights and recommendations to executive leadership
- Lead RFPs, RFQs, bidding processes, and vendor evaluations
- Negotiate pricing, terms, service levels, and contract agreements
- Evaluate suppliers based on cost, quality, compliance, and performance
- Support procurement needs across clinical, operational, technology, facilities, and administrative departments
- Maintain vendor relationships and centralized vendor records
- Monitor contract renewals, pricing, deliverables, and performance
- Develop vendor scorecards and performance review processes
- Partner with Legal and Compliance teams on contracts, risk, and vendor requirements
- Ensure procurement practices align with internal policies and applicable regulations
- Maintain documentation for vendor selection, approvals, and purchasing decisions
- Support audits, reviews, and compliance initiatives
- Strengthen purchasing controls, approval workflows, and documentation standards
- Improve procurement workflows and purchasing efficiency
- Reduce unauthorized purchases, duplicate vendors, and unnecessary expenses
- Train departments on procurement requirements and best practices
- Support implementation of procurement technology and automation tools
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- 7–10+ years of procurement, sourcing, purchasing, supply chain, or vendor management experience
- Experience leading vendor negotiations, RFPs, contracts, and sourcing initiatives
- Strong understanding of procurement controls, compliance, and financial processes
- Experience working with healthcare, nonprofit, government‑funded, or multi‑site organizations preferred
- Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel and reporting abilities
- Excellent communication and executive partnership skills
