Maintenance Worker
Express Employment Professionals of Bradenton, FL is currently hiring a Maintenance Worker for a municipality in Manatee County, FL.
Duties:
- Perform maintenance and repair of city streets, curbs, sidewalks, gutters, and drainage structures.
- Clean, repair, and maintain storm drains, ditches, culverts, catch basins, and other drainage systems to ensure proper water flow.
- Patch potholes, spread asphalt, pour and finish concrete, and perform other street surface repairs.
- Clear debris, blockages, and vegetation from drainage areas, roadways, and rights-of-way.
- Respond to emergency calls such as flooding, storm damage, and hazardous street conditions.
- Perform routine inspections of streets and drainage systems and report maintenance needs.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in concrete construction, street, or drainage maintenance preferred.
- Ability to operate light to heavy equipment safely and effectively.
- Ability to perform heavy manual labor outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Valid state driver's license required - Requires frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, and operating machinery.
