Dental Assistant

Adecco Healthcare & Life Science is working with our client in Bradenton, Florida to hire a Dental Assistant for their facility.

Type: Direct Hire

Hours: Monday - Friday

Pay Range: $41,000-$49,000/year - based on experience

• Ensures compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations, safety protocols, TJC, and other accreditation standards and laws
• Operates according to the dental program’s SOPs
• Performs four-handed dentistry procedures
• Prepares operatory for patient services
• Sterilizes equipment and instruments, following all infection prevention and control guidelines of the dental program and MCR Health
• Performs simple maintenance of equipment
• Prepares tray set-ups for all procedures
• Assists the Lead DA with the management and restocking of supplies
• Takes accurate radiographs as prescribed by the dentist
• Gives post-operative and oral hygiene instructions to patients
• Takes and records patient’s vital signs
• Performs various laboratory procedures, such as mixing alginate and pouring models and fabricating temporary crowns
• Works with the Lead DA to maintain inventory and order supplies as needed
• Ensures patient comfort and safety during all services
• May perform the remediable tasks, under direct supervision, as outlined in Florida statutes, section 466.024 and Board of Dentistry Rule 21G – 16.005
• Maintain required logs and proper documentation
• Performs other duties as assigned

• GED or High School Diploma required
• Certificate from an accredited institution accredited by the Council on Dental Accreditation of the American Dental Association required
• Certificate in Expanded Duties & Radiology required
• Current BLS Certification through the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Safety and Health Institute Required
• At least 1-year experience as a Dental Assistant preferred
• Microsoft Office Products – Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint proficiency preferred
