** Medical Director
** to serve as the clinical leader for hospice care delivery, providing oversight to physicians and advanced practice providers across multiple locations. This role champions quality, compliance, patient-centered care, and community partnerships while supporting compassionate end-of-life care for patients and their families.

** What you'll Do:
*** Will support Pinellas, Hillsborough, Manatee, and Sarasota counties.
* Promotes and practices the Empath Health mission, vision and values and follows all policies and procedures.
* Leads and develops a high performing team by providing guidance, coaching, feedback and evaluation of performance on an ongoing basis.
* Provides education to staff on hospice and palliative care practices, policies, and procedures.
* Serves as a medical resource and educator to hospice staff, patients, families and attending physicians regarding admission criteria, pain and symptom control management, and end of life hospice/palliative care.
* Responsible for budget planning, monitoring, and adherence.
* Conducts hospice pre-election evaluation and counseling services as requested and collaborates with colleagues and attending physicians to certify patient meets admission criteria based upon available diagnostic and prognostic indicators.
* May be required to provide direct patient care as needed including but not limited to participating in IDG, visiting patients in person, and liaising with patient family members as appropriate.

** What You'll Need
*** M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school and Board Certified in a related specialty.
* Current Florida license to practice medicine issued pursuant to Florida Statute 458 or 459.
* Minimum of two (5) years' recent active practice with direct clinical medical care experience.
* Certification in Palliative Medicine strongly preferred.
* Prior leadership experience of at least two years strongly preferred.
* Hospital staff privileges at one or more hospitals commonly serving patients in the service area strongly preferred.
* Current Federal DEA registration.
* Valid CPR Certification required if patient facing.
