West Coast Christian Academy is located on the beautiful Gulf coast of Florida, just south of Tampa Bay in the Bradenton/Sarasota area, near the beautiful beaches of Anna Maria Island and Siesta Key. The school offers a Christ-centered Adventist education to an enrollment of nearly 60 students in grades kindergarten through twelfth grade. The school's pre‑k program is a part of the Florida Voluntary pre‑k program for four‑year‑olds, and the high school program is a satellite/distance learning program through Atlanta Adventist Academy.

WCCA may be the oldest continually operating SDA school in the Florida Conference, having been established in 1892. The school community is multicultural, serving the local English, Spanish and Haitian churches. The area churches and school board are very supportive.

WCCA has an opening for a dedicated, caring, dynamic Christ‑filled fifth‑ and sixth‑grades teacher for the upcoming school year. They are looking for someone who is a team player, creative, and who loves children. Applicants for this position must model Christ‑like behavior and attitudes which will positively impact students in leading them to Christ.

Applicant must be a tithe‑paying Seventh‑day Adventist church member in good standing and have the legal right to work in the United States, providing evidence if employed. A minimum of a bachelor's degree with North American Division (Denominational) Teacher Certification is required and must be maintained (or must agree to work towards obtaining NAD Certification). A minimum of three years of successful classroom experience is preferred.
