Tutor

Assist in tutoring middle and high school students in a variety of subjects.

• Tutor students spanning grades 6-12 in selected academic disciplines including Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Statistics, Calculus, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, French, Spanish, Language Arts, History, SAT/ACT Test Prep, Economics, Psychology, and other related course needs.
• Manage group tutoring sessions as needed.
• Show passion for the progress of student’s development.
• Motivate students to have a positive relationship with learning.
• Contribute to a friendly and productive learning environment.
• Model and encourage collaborative study strategies.
• Provide help with homework, lessons, exam preparation, and enrichment to students of various grade levels.
• Assess student support needs and difficulties.
• Help students catch up in school subjects where they have fallen behind.
• Work minimally 2 Achievement Center sessions per week.

• Commit to at least 8 hours of work per week.
• Ability to work private tutoring sessions as needed.
• Full mastery and experience of subject area.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite of applications.
• Relate to adolescents for effective content support.
• Enthusiastic in delivery of material.
• Ability to differentiate & think creatively.
• Extremely skilled in logic and content vocabulary.
• Demonstrates moral and ethical responsibility.

• Ability to lift, move, push and pull equipment or boxes in excess of 40 lbs.
• Should be able to handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period of time.
• Must be able to move around campus which includes gym, turf, fields, etc.
• Requires a background check upon offer.
• Requires a pre‑employment drug screen upon offer.
