Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) School of Pharmacy is seeking two full-time, 12‑month, non‑tenure track pharmacy practice faculty members to teach in the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program at the Bradenton, Florida campus. Positions will focus on clinical kinetics, drug information, and pharmacotherapeutics. Candidates must hold a Doctor of Pharmacy degree, be licensed or eligible for licensure in Florida, and have teaching experience.
Residency or fellowship training (or equivalent) and experience in pharmaceutical science are preferred.
- Teach pharmacotherapeutics, clinical kinetics, and drug information to both local and online PharmD students.
- Precept final‑year pharmacy students and develop and deliver online courses.
- Coordinate courses, prepare educational tools, and collaborate with faculty across all pathways.
- Advising students, serving on school committees, and participating in accreditation and administrative functions.
- Contribute at least one scholarly activity or research project annually.
- Prepare evaluation tools for student assessment and identify students needing additional support.
- Participate in faculty professional development and community outreach activities.
- Collaborate with the Associate Dean of Pharmacy and other administration to support institutional missions.
- Accept additional duties as assigned to meet institutional needs.
- Doctor of Pharmacy degree with residency training, fellowship training, or equivalent experience.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Florida.
- Teaching experience, preferably at the PharmD level.
- Knowledge of clinical pharmacology, medicinal chemistry, pharmacotherapeutics, and drug information.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in using personal computers, audio/visual equipment, and common office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet).
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions, prioritize multiple tasks, and work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and students.
- Knowledge of FERPA, HIPAA, OSHA, and institutional data systems.
- Doctor of Pharmacy degree with residency or fellowship training or equivalent experience.
- Prior teaching experience.
- License or eligibility for licensure in Florida.
