Compensation: $60,000 - $75,000/yr depending on years of experience
DescriptionInsight Global is seeking a SCADA Instrumentation Technician to support critical water and wastewater infrastructure across the Bradenton and greater Tampa Bay area. This role involves advanced technical work in the operation, maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting of instrumentation, process control systems, and SCADA networks. The technician will also perform electrical troubleshooting, programming, and system design while supporting overall plant operations and mentoring junior staff.
This role is ideal for candidates with experience in instrumentation, controls, PLCs, and SCADA systems in industrial or utility environments.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and install instrumentation and process control systems
- Support and maintain SCADA systems and network infrastructure
- Perform electrical diagnostics, repairs, and programming
- Install, configure, and calibrate instrumentation
- Assist with control system design and improvements
- Interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation
- Respond to emergency situations and support field operations
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical training in electronics, instrumentation, or controls
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electronic controls and instrumentation repair and calibration
- Experience with SCADA systems and components
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documents
- Valid driver’s license (Florida license required within 30 days of hire)
- Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments including adverse weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights or underground
- Experience with PLC and HMI programming
- Knowledge of water or wastewater treatment instrumentation
- Onsite role supporting field operations
- Work may include exposure to noise, weather, and confined spaces
- Requires operation of company vehicles and emergency response readiness
