Cardiac Device Technician - Bradenton Cardiology role at Manatee Memorial Hospital. The Cardiac Device Technician provides technical and clinical services related to cardiac devices and supports the heart failure service line objectives.
Responsibilities- Provide device management, maintenance of remote monitoring sites, and interpretation of remote data, as well as routine in-office evaluations.
- Perform device troubleshooting, identify arrhythmias, and interpret technical and diagnostic information.
- Document appropriately in EMR and communicate with patients, clinical staff, and physicians to provide device education and report interpretation, as well as technical and diagnostic information relevant to patient care.

Education:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- Completion of an accredited Cardiac Device Technician program preferred.
- IBHRE Certification preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences, Exercise Science or other related field preferred.
Work experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an EP or Cath Lab or equivalent in Cardiology device clinic.
Knowledge:
- Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, and general medical office procedures.
- Familiarity with medical terminology required.
Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- High level of professionalism.
- Superior organizational and interpersonal skills.
Abilities:
- Demonstrated track record of Service Excellence.
- Must be able to perform courteously and professionally in all interactions.
- Adhere to all safety protocols.
Equipment Operated:
- Computer, scanner, and printer.
- Medical equipment varies upon specialty of clinic/practice. Programmers from relative device vendors.
- Works in a well-lighted, OSHA Standard environment.
- May be exposed to infectious and contagious diseases.
- May be in contact with patients under a wide variety of circumstances.
- Occasionally subject to irregular hours.
- Travel to other facilities as requested.
- May be required to wear personal protective equipment as necessary.
