In our time of company growth, we are seeking a Cardiovascular Sonographer.

As Part Of This Role, You Will- Perform ultrasound studies, including echocardiogram and carotid ultrasound imaging for physician review
- Use cognitive sonographic skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures as appropriate to anatomical, pathological, and diagnostic information and images
- Create a preliminary sonographer's finding report for each exam
- Communicate critical information to the physician as needed
- Maintain professional acumen through active association with professional organizations and attend in-service educational programs and departmental meetings
- Maintain a daily log of patients seen/completed exam billing forms
- Greet and collect patient information and access medical history relevant to the exam
- Maintain ultrasound equipment and work area, and maintain adequate supplies
- Graduate of a formal diagnostic medical Sonography program that is accredited by the Commission of Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) required
- Must have at least 1-2 years of strong cardiovascular sonography experience
- Must have in-depth knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and ultrasound physics, as well as proficiency in procedures like echocardiography (TTE/TEE)
- Bachelor of Science Degree in diagnostic medical sonography is preferred
- Ability to verify completed education from an accredited school
- Current certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS or CCI) preferred
- Current compliance with continuing medical education (CME) requirements for the specialty as appropriate required
- Current BLS Certification through the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Safety and Health Institute required
- Ability to speak Spanish helpful
The Cardiovascular Sonographer is responsible for performing complete echocardiograms, stress, and transesophageal echocardiograms; arterial or venous ultrasound exams, and non-imaging physiologic vascular testing as ordered by the physician by acceptable medical practices and procedures.
