The FCS Foundation assists cancer patients across the state of Florida. Due to the generosity of the Florida Cancer Specialists partner physicians in covering all overhead expenses for the Foundation, 100% of donations received go directly towards paying the essential non-medical living expenses of an adult battling cancer.

The Clinic Waiting Room Greeters play a crucial role in welcoming and assisting patients and visitors, helping to create a warm and friendly atmosphere from the moment they come through the clinic doors.
Duties And Responsibilities- Greet patients and guests with a smile and friendly voice.
- Offer water and coffee while patients and guests are waiting.
- Keep the waiting room neat and tidy.
- Engage patients and guests in light, easy conversation.
- Get a wheelchair as needed.
Shifts are typically Monday - Friday, between 9am - 3pm, and is based on need, so could vary. We ask for a minimum time commitment of 3 hours per week, for at least 6 months.
Volunteer Requirements- Submit a volunteer application.
- Complete a phone interview.
- Complete a criminal history check and drug/nicotine screening. Please note that FCS is a nicotine- and medical marijuana-free workplace.
- Complete a health screening;
Tuberculosis (TB) testing, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, and Varicella immunity proof are required. - An influenza vaccine is required annually (August 1 through March 31).
