Responsibilities
Patient Admissions Rep is responsible for professionally greeting patients, answering phones, and obtaining all necessary information to register patients for outpatient imaging procedures. Responsibilities include scheduling appointments, obtaining appropriate authorizations, eligibility verification, prescriptions, blood test results, and patient demographics to facilitate scheduling and registration processes.
Additionally, the role requires ensuring patient confidentiality according to policy and procedure, observing professional phone etiquette, and addressing patient or caller inquiries. The Admissions Representative must be able to cover duties and responsibilities as needed, provide coverage across all locations and work varied shifts to ensure appropriate departmental coverage. Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications- High School Diploma/ GED required
- Minimum of one (1) year customer service experience required
- Minimum of one (1) year experience with insurance or third party reimbursements preferred
