Responsibilities
Scheduling referrals for patients and providers, pre-authorizing and pre-certifying tests and procedures, scheduling additional tests with facilities at the request of providers and/or staff. Communicates effectively with patients, clinics, and hospitals. Reviews clinical data to determine medical necessity for insurance companies. Performs all work in accord with the mission, vision, and values of the practice.
Location:
316 Manatee Ave W, Bradenton, FL – Candidates must be local. Work site is in‑person.

Education
:
High school graduate or GED required.
Work Experience
:
Minimum of one to three years’ experience in a healthcare or clinical setting.
Knowledge
:
- Clinical terminology, insurance billing, procedural and diagnosis coding, federal and state insurance regulations.
- HIPAA privacy standards (preferred).
- Typing, 10‑key, and computer skills required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.
- Acute healthcare knowledge and ability to evaluate clinical data for pre‑authorizations and referrals (preferred).
- Knowledge of third‑party reimbursement regulations (preferred).
- Patient management, billing, and managed‑care system processes competency.
- Understanding of functions and workflow of clinical/hospital departments.
Skills
:
- Excellent organization, attention to detail, research, and problem‑solving ability.
- Results oriented with a proven track record of accomplishing tasks within a high‑performing team environment.
- Ability to multi‑task and meet established time frames.
- Effective interpersonal and excellent written and oral communication skills.

- Strong computer literacy skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Abilities
:
- Ability to handle data entry accurately in a high‑paced environment and reconcile data to identify discrepancies.
