Position Summary

The Supervisor, Recovery provides day-to-day leadership and operational oversight for assigned recovery services and staff. This position supports the delivery of person-centered, recovery-oriented services designed to improve engagement, stability, independence, and long-term recovery for individuals with mental health and/or substance use needs. The Supervisor provides supervision, coaching, and performance oversight to recovery staff; monitors service delivery, documentation, productivity, referrals, and client outcomes;

and works collaboratively with clinical teams and community partners to ensure individuals are connected to the services and supports needed to achieve their recovery goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provides day-to-day supervision, consultation, coaching, and support to assigned recovery staff, which may include Recovery Specialists, Peer Specialists, Peer Advocates, Care Coordinators, or other recovery-focused team members.
  • Oversees daily program operations, including caseload management, referrals, engagement, service delivery, documentation, productivity, and continuity of care.
  • Ensures recovery services are person-centered, strengths-based, trauma-informed, and focused on helping individuals achieve meaningful recovery goals and increased independence.
  • Supports staff in connecting individuals to recovery-oriented resources, including peer supports, substance use treatment, housing, employment and education resources, benefits, transportation, healthcare, and other community-based supports.
  • Promotes active engagement and retention in services, including outreach and re‑engagement efforts for individuals at risk of disengaging from care.
  • Supports recovery planning that incorporates individual strengths, preferences, natural supports, and identified social drivers of health.
  • Ensures appropriate onboarding, orientation, ongoing training, and development of assigned staff, including recovery‑oriented practice, professional boundaries, documentation, engagement strategies, relapse prevention, and applicable program requirements.
  • Reviews documentation, service activity, and other program data to ensure services meet organizational, contractual, funding, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitors team performance, including Collaborative Service Goals, documentation quality, access, engagement, and applicable program or contract outcomes, and develops improvement plans when needed.
  • Conducts routine quality assurance reviews and works with leadership and Quality staff to identify trends, barriers, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensures continuity of care through coordination with therapists, medical providers, case managers, peers, crisis staff, other Centerstone programs, families and natural supports, and community partners as appropriate.
  • Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with community organizations and recovery resources to strengthen referral pathways and access to services.
  • Participates in recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, performance evaluations, coaching, corrective action, and staff development in accordance with organizational policies.
  • Ensures appropriate coverage when positions are vacant or staff are unavailable and works proactively to minimize disruption to individuals receiving services.
