The Patient Service Manager is responsible for providing direction for patient meal services at patient care units to ensure satisfaction and retention for the Company. Implements business practices in order to uphold Company mission and values. Supervising operation areas of the Dietary Department and for the ongoing assessment and improvement of those areas during their shift. The Patient Service Manager supports an organizational culture for Service Excellence.

General:
Assists with recruiting, interviewing, coaching, evaluating, and managing department staff. Provides daily supervision, scheduling, and workload coordination for Food and Nutrition team members. Trains, orients, and develops employees while ensuring completion of required departmental and organizational education. Promotes a culture of service excellence, employee engagement, safety, and teamwork. Ensures compliance with food service regulations, department policies, safety standards, infection prevention practices, and emergency procedures.

Oversees food service operations, including meal quality, accuracy, portion control, patient diet requirements, and timely meal delivery. Manages department inventory, supplies, equipment concerns, and maintains readiness for regulatory inspections and surveys. Supports departmental operations through effective communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, cost management, and coordination of catering and patient nutrition initiatives.

High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred. Associates degree in Food Management preferred. 1-2 years supervisory experience required. Minimum of 3 years' experience in institutional food production required.
