HR Generalist / Talent Management, HR Manager
Responsibilities
Independence Physician Management (IPM), is a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc (UHS). IPM was formed in 2012 as the physician services unit of UHS. IPM develops and manages multi-specialty physician networks and urgent care clinics which align with UHS acute care facilities. It also provides select services for the Behavioral Health division of UHS. Through continuing growth, IPM operates in 11 markets across six states and the District of Columbia.

Supports initiatives for HR Operations in Manatee and Wellington Florida markets. Provides a broad range of HR support which includes varied, complex, and specialized assignments. Works on key department projects and may manage employee relations investigations as needed. Supports IPM HR Operations and the market leaders in the areas of performance management, systems administration, employee engagement, new employee orientation, reporting, compensation administration, HR training, and responding to questions.
Assists with strategic planning and development to ensure full utilization of Human Resources to achieve goals. Must be resourceful and flexible to meet the ever-changing needs of leadership.
- Works with the Director, Human Resources
-IPM, to streamline and implement HR projects and initiatives in line with IPM HR Strategic Plan and operational goals. IPM. Focus on identifying areas for process improvement, program standardization and system implementations - Acts as a business partner for IPM Division managers and employees by providing guidance and recommendations concerning all areas of human resources, including: performance management, employee relations, recruitment and retention, salary and wage administration, benefit administration, worker’s compensation, leave management, unemployment administration, payroll administration, orientation and onboarding.
- Maintains effective employee relations program and guidance to leadership team along with compliance hotline investigation and resolution. Provides HR consultation to leaders and staff in goal setting, problem solving, resource management and outcome achievement.
- Drives annual review process, and 90-day evaluations for IPM Division, working in collaboration with the operations leaders to address low performers. Works closely with leadership team on performance management and risk for turnover.
- Maintains new employee orientation and onboarding materials for IPM Division and Markets. Updates program as needed. Facilitates New Employee Orientation for IPM Division employees.
- Builds effective relationships with all levels of management and employees, including market leadership, HR Managers and IPM HR team members.
- Responsible for the employee engagement program in coordination with the IPM Division management team. Encourages staff participation in bi-annual employee engagement survey and works with operations team on development and implementation of action plans to identify areas of opportunity.
- Responsible for ensuring that areas assigned meet regulatory requirements
- Performs other duties as assigned
Certification/Licensure: PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
Professional KnowledgeStrong oral and written communication skills, performance management, and analytical skills. Working knowledge of employment law (federal, state, and local). Ability to multi-task with accuracy and attention to detail. Prior experience in Human Resources in a healthcare setting is preferred. Must be responsive in addressing issues and completing projects that require timely management/oversight.
