Operations Manager - Public Accounting

The Operations Manager serves as a key member of the executive team and functions as the operational leader of the firm. This individual oversees department team leads, ensures quality control review (QCR) processes across Tax and Attestation, and ensures all critical deadlines, especially during peak tax season, are met with excellence.

This is not solely a management role; it is a leadership position focused on firm optimization, client engagement, and long-term scalability.

• Lead and manage 3–4 Team Leads and oversee QCR across service lines
• Ensure all tax and attestation deadlines are consistently achieved
• Serve on the executive leadership team, contributing to business strategy and operational decisions
• Engage with clients on higher-level matters as needed
• Support growth initiatives in Tax Advisory and/or Audit
• Strengthen operational systems, KPI tracking, and internal accountability
• Step in operationally during peak season when required

• CPA preferred
• 5+ years of management experience within a CPA firm
• Strong background in either Tax or Audit/Attestation (both welcomed)
• High emotional intelligence (EQ) and strong interpersonal leadership capability
• Experience overseeing quality control review processes
• Demonstrated ability to lead leaders
• Desire and ambition to grow into partnership within approximately five years
