A highly profitable, well-established boutique CPA firm in the Bradenton–Sarasota area is seeking an experienced Audit / Attest Manager to lead and grow its assurance practice.
This is an excellent opportunity for a CPA who enjoys the technical side of attest work, wants meaningful client exposure, and is looking for a clear path toward Audit Partner / Principal within approximately five years.

The OpportunityThis is a growth-driven leadership role within a firm that provides outsourced accounting, CFO advisory, back-office support, and a strong assurance practice. The attest function has continued to expand, creating the need for a hands-on leader who can take ownership of engagement quality, staff development, and long-term practice growth.
The right person will lead reviews, compilations, agreed-upon procedures, and related attestation work across a diverse client base while partnering closely with firm leadership on the future of the practice.
What You’ll Do- Lead attestation engagements from planning through completion, including reviews, compilations, and agreed-upon procedures.
- Serve as a key technical reviewer and Quality Control Reviewer for financial statement engagements.
- Oversee a meaningful portion of the firm’s attest practice while balancing hands-on execution with review responsibilities.
- Coach, develop, and upskill assurance staff and team leads.
- Ensure compliance with SSARS, GAAS, AICPA standards, and firm quality standards.
- Partner with leadership on process improvement, practice growth, and long-term succession planning.
- Help build a strong quality culture within a growing boutique firm environment.
- Active CPA license required.
- 5–8+ years of public accounting experience with a strong focus on attestation.
- Strong technical experience with reviews, compilations, and agreed-upon procedures.
- Experience reviewing the work of others, not just preparing engagements independently.
- Prior people-management experience, including mentoring associates and seniors.
- Strong understanding of SSARS, GAAS, and applicable AICPA standards.
- A hands-on, ownership-minded approach and the desire to grow into a senior leadership role.
- High EQ, strong communication skills, and a genuine interest in developing people and client relationships.
- Multi-industry client exposure, including areas such as construction, healthcare, professional services, or manufacturing.
- Forensic accounting experience or credentials such as CFE or CFF.
- Master’s in Accounting or MBA.
- A strong coaching mindset and track record of developing staff.
- Clear path to Audit Partner / Principal within approximately five years.
