Production Supervisor

The Production Supervisor leads overnight production operations in a fast-paced commercial bakery environment. This role is responsible for supervising production lines, developing hourly team members, and ensuring safe, high-quality, and efficient output throughout the shift. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader with bakery or food manufacturing experience who can solve problems in real time and drive a strong safety and quality culture.

• Supervise, coach, and develop hourly production employees to meet nightly production goals
• Champion a “safety first” culture and ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures
• Monitor and drive performance across safety, quality, scrap, efficiency, and downtime metrics
• Partner with Maintenance and Quality teams to resolve equipment and process issues quickly
• Lead shift start‑ups, changeovers, and end‑of‑shift reporting
• Train team members on SOPs, quality standards, and standard work
• Conduct team huddles, performance discussions, and ongoing coaching
• Lead and sustain continuous improvement efforts using Lean, 5S, Kaizen, and TPM principles
• Ensure accurate production reporting and system data entry
• Enforce attendance, performance expectations, and company policies consistently
• Participate in root cause analysis for production, safety, and quality concerns

• 2+ years of supervisory or lead experience in food or bakery manufacturing
• Experience leading teams on a production floor
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, food safety, and quality standards
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
• High school diploma or GED

• Baking or commercial bakery experience strongly preferred
• Experience with Autonomous Maintenance and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)

• Strong leadership, coaching, and team engagement skills
• Ability to analyze production data and make real‑time decisions
• Effective communication across departments and leadership levels
• Ability to read and interpret SOPs, safety rules, and work instructions
• Comfortable working in a hot, humid, and fast‑paced production environment
• Strong problem‑solving and conflict resolution skills

• Regular standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs
• Exposure to moving machinery, hot surfaces, humidity, and moderate noise
