The Panther Group is seeking an Electronics Technician for our client in Lakewood Ranch, FL. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented technician with experience building and wiring electrical control panels in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities- Build and wire electrical control panels, junction boxes, and subassemblies according to customer specifications.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, work orders, bills of materials, and engineering drawings.
- Perform point-to-point wiring and install electrical components including PLCs, relays, switches, indicator lights, terminal blocks, and other control devices.
- Drill, tap, deburr, grind, and cut materials to prepare electrical enclosures and panels for assembly.
- Assemble and install completed electrical panels, cabinets, and subassemblies.
- Utilize hand and power tools, including wire strippers, crimpers, screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, drills, and related equipment.
- Update and redline documentation as needed to support Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
- Safely move materials throughout the facility using hand pallet jacks.
- Perform quality inspections to ensure assemblies meet specifications and company standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Work overtime as needed to support production schedules.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical certificate or vocational training in Electrical Controls, Electronics, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience building and wiring electrical control panels.
- Experience performing point-to-point wiring.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
- Understanding of basic electrical principles and electrical current.
- Experience with mechanical assembly and electrical wiring of control panels and operator stations.
- Proficient in the use of common hand and power tools for drilling, tapping, wiring, and assembly.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and safety.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in industrial automation or control panel manufacturing.
- Familiarity with PLC hardware and industrial electrical components.
- Ability to identify and resolve assembly or wiring issues efficiently.
Pay $23-25 per hour DOE
