CNC Machinist

This role involves setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes to produce precision components while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. You will interpret blueprints, prepare tooling and fixtures, and monitor machines throughout production to ensure consistent and accurate output.

• Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce precision parts according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to determine machining requirements.
• Select, install, and adjust tooling, fixtures, and work pieces to prepare machines for production runs.
• Monitor machine performance during operation and identify issues that could affect production or quality.
• Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, indicators, and gauges to verify part dimensions.
• Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet required tolerances and quality standards.
• Make necessary adjustments to machine settings and tooling to maintain accuracy and productivity.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow established safety procedures.

• Hands-on experience setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, indicators, and gauges.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machining processes.
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot issues affecting machine performance or product quality.

• Previous experience working as a CNC machinist or in a similar machining role.
• Familiarity with various tooling, fixtures, and work holding methods.
• Ability to follow detailed work instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to continuously improve processes.

The role is based in a climate-controlled facility designed to support comfortable and consistent working conditions. You will work around CNC mills and lathes, precision measuring tools, and standard shop equipment in a clean and organized production environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bradenton, FL.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $32.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
