RN, Operating Room Nurse, Healthcare Nursing

Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is assisting our client hire an Operating Room RN in Bradenton, Florida! This role is on site / in person. Please read below and apply with an updated resume for consideration:

Full time, direct hire with client!

Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm

$35.82 to $41.82 an hour

• Ensures patient readiness for surgery including, but not limited to, NPO status, medication administration, timeout protocol, and chart completeness
• Implements the plan of care safely and effectively and provides a safe environment, including, but not limited to:
  Positioning patient safely, padding bony prominence and ensuring respiratory and circulatory protection
• Ensuring correct prepping and draping procedures
• Ensuring asepsis during all procedures. Opens and presents sterile items to sterile field aseptically; ensures supplies are not expired
• Accounting for all sponges, needles, and sharps, during and after the procedures and documenting appropriately
• Demonstrates competence in preparing and cleaning O.R. suites before, between, and after cases
• Accurately records, labels, and handles specimens
• Can perform all duties of a circulating room nurse
• Gives thorough report of patient’s intra-operative condition to PACU nurse
• Collaborates with other members of the surgical team to ensure efficient turn-around time between each procedure

• Active and good standing RN license in Florida
• Current BLS and ACLS required
• Certification as an Operating Room Nurse (CNOR) preferred and Cath Lab experience
• 3-5 years of experience as a nurse providing perioperative care preferred
• Extensive knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques
• Ability to collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals
• Solid understanding of patient health and safety standards
