RN Registered Nurse Joint Care Center PRN

As a Registered Nurse in the Joint Care Center, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with the care team, following established nursing models and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. You will advocate for patients, families, and caregivers and contribute to positive clinical outcomes and an outstanding patient experience.

• Assess the patient’s condition during admission and each shift, promptly identifying and reporting changes in status.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider, and document care administration thoroughly in the medical record. Administer prescribed medications, monitor therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in case of unintended responses.
• Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipating needs, and resolving issues.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient’s medical condition, treatment plan, medications, side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring understanding of terms and plans.

• Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse or hold an appropriate compact license; active FL RN license required within 60 days of hire if compact license is held.
• Registered Nurse Diploma, or Associate Degree; BSN preferred.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) new hire must obtain within 6 months; transferring employee must obtain within 6 months of position effective date.
• Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
• Critical thinking, service excellence, good interpersonal skills, ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions, PC skills.
