As a Burn Unit Registered Nurse (RN), you’ll play a vital role in the healing journey of patients with a variety of burn injuries. With stays ranging from days to weeks, you’ll build meaningful relationships and witness powerful healing journeys. Partnering with a skilled team that's deeply committed to this unique population, you’ll restore comfort and healing — caring for patients like family and improving lives every day.

• Assess patient condition and environment to recognize changes, manage pain, and ensure safety throughout their care journey.
• Perform expert procedures and medication administration – including pain relief and fluid therapy – delivering advanced wound care and dressing changes, monitoring responses and acting swiftly to promote healing and comfort.
• Educate and support patients and families with compassion and clarity to confidently navigate recovery and make informed decisions.
• Collaborate with a dedicated multidisciplinary team to provide seamless, patient-centered care tailored to each individual’s needs.

• Advanced Burn Life Spt must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
• Associate Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma.
• (APRN) Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, or (RN) Registered Nurse.

HCA Florida Blake Hospital is a 380+ bed hospital located in Bradenton, FL. We have a thirteen acre campus by the Gulf Coast beaches. We are the only state-designated Level II trauma center in Manatee, Sarasota and DeSoto Counties. We have received verification by the American College of Surgeons. Our services include 24‑hour emergency care, open-heart surgery, burn care, cancer care, joint replacement and inpatient rehabilitation.
