Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), this position supports the integration, coordination, and direction of nursing and patient care with the overall operation of the hospital. It assists the CNO in ensuring the provision of the level of care required by current medical and nursing standards and acts as the CNO when needed. The ACNO supports nursing and patient care to ensure delivery of high‑quality, high‑level patient experience and cost‑effective health care consistent with MMH’s mission, vision, and values, and in accordance with government regulation, licensing, and accreditation requirements.
The ACNO participates in the nursing strategic plan and contributes to the achievement of the health system’s goals and objectives. The ACNO promotes a culture of Service Excellence with all customer groups, provides day‑to‑day operational oversight for assigned departments, manages departments efficiently and effectively to maximize quality and safety of services within operating budget and staffing standards, and assists with service‑line and business development activities.
The ACNO must demonstrate commitment and adherence to the Compliance Program and Code of Conduct and report suspected compliance issues immediately.
- Full‑time Assistant Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO) position with Manatee Memorial Hospital
- Minimum of three (3) years of patient care services director‑level management experience, required

- MSN, required
- Current RN licensure in Florida
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
- Current ACLS certification through the American Heart Association
