Inpatient Registered Nurse - RN - Night Shift

Night Shift Registered Nurse (7pm-7am)

Schedule:

Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and every other Saturday or Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and every other Saturday.

Sign‑On Bonus: $5,000 (eligible).

Assesses needed nursing care and monitoring; provides direct nursing care services to clients/patients. Possesses leadership skills and is able to perform Charge Nurse duties. General knowledge base in mental health and addictions nursing and psychotropic medications.

• Graduate of an approved school or college of nursing.
• Current Florida licensure as a registered professional nurse.
• CPR certified.

• Mental Health Nursing experience with adults and adolescents.
• Minimum of one year experience as an RN in an acute care setting.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic EMR (Electronic Medical Record) computer skills.
• Detail‑oriented with effective problem‑solving skills.
• Leadership experience effectively leading a team.
• Knowledge of psychotropic medications.

• Perform nursing assessments and monitoring of adults/adolescents.
• Obtain and enter orders into EMR from attending physician.
• Administer medications and treatments efficiently and effectively as prescribed by a physician.
• Evaluate clients/patients’ nursing needs; develop and maintain treatment plans.
• Provide guidance to behavioral health technicians on nursing needs of clients/patients.
• Coordinate client/patient staff assignments for patient care and documentation.
• Effectively lead team in delivering patient care as unit charge nurse.
• Actively participate in PI (Peer Review) and disseminate information to staff.
• Monitor seclusion and restraint for appropriate patient care and documentation.

Noise level is high in some patient care areas. The position requires walking, sitting, standing, bending, lifting and moving intermittently during work hours. It involves frequent interruptions and interaction with clients, residents, family members, personnel, visitors, and government agencies. The employee will be required to lift/pull/push/move up to 50 pounds. Conversational speech required for effective verbal communication.
