Job SummaryWe are seeking a Trauma Medical Surgical Registered Nurse Manager who will provide leadership and expertise to ensure high quality, safe patient care in a medical‑surgical environment.
Responsibilities- Provide leadership and oversee safe, quality patient care for assigned departments on a 24‑hour basis.
- Ensure departmental nursing practice meets legal, accreditation, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate continuity of care through interdisciplinary teamwork.
- Share patient information with physicians and team members and document patient progress.
- Develop and implement quality improvement programs to meet core measures and safety goals.
- Coordinate patient care with other services and departments across the hospital.
- Licensed Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations.
- Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
- American Heart Association BLS certification.
- Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, service excellence, interpersonal skills, ability to follow written and verbal instructions, and PC skills.
HCA Florida Blake Hospital, a 380‑bed facility located in Bradenton, FL, on a thirteen‑acre campus by the Gulf Coast. It is the only state‑designated LevelII trauma center in Manatee, Sarasota and DeSoto counties and offers 24‑hour emergency care, open‑heart surgery, burn care, cancer care, joint replacement and inpatient rehabilitation.
