Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) – Full time:Monday-Friday
Location: Covering Sarasota/Bradenton
About the RolePHA is seeking a dedicated PMHNP to join our growing team. You will provide psychiatric care across multiple skilled nursing facilities, collaborating with staff and ensuring the highest quality of patient-centered care. This position offers autonomy, professional growth, and the support of an experienced physician-led group.
Primary Responsibilities- Conduct psychiatric evaluations, record patient histories, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians and facility staff.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests as needed.
- Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications.
- Educate patients on health promotion, disease prevention, and psychiatric conditions.
- Refer patients to specialists when appropriate.
- Participate in case reviews, consultations, and ongoing care coordination.
- Adhere to regulatory requirements and reporting standards.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- Active State of Florida APRN license in good standing.
- National Board Certification as PMHNP.
- DEA license required.
- 1 year of psychiatric experience preferred (training available for the right candidate).
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR).
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.

Reports to Supervisory Psychiatric Physician / Executive Director
Physical Requirements- Effective communication with patients and staff.
- Ability to sit, stand, or use a computer for extended periods.
