Description
Precision Healthcare Specialists is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented, and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Urology team. The LPN will assist providers with patient care, clinical procedures, patient education, and daily clinical operations while ensuring an exceptional patient experience. The ideal candidate is professional, organized, and able to thrive in a fast-paced specialty practice environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Room and prepare patients for examination and treatment
- Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical histories, medications, and chief complaints
- Assist providers with in-office urological procedures and examinations
- Administer medications and injections as directed by providers
- Perform catheter care, bladder scans, specimen collection, and other clinical duties within scope of practice
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms, equipment, and supplies
- Educate patients regarding medications, treatment plans, procedures, and follow-up care
- Respond to patient calls, refill requests, and clinical messages in a timely manner
- Accurately document patient information within the electronic medical record (EMR) system
- Coordinate referrals, diagnostic testing, and follow-up appointments as needed
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, infection control, and company policies
- Support providers and clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow and quality care
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- Current Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required
- Current BLS/CPR certification required
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience preferred
- Urology or specialty practice experience preferred
- Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with EMR systems and basic computer applications
- Professional demeanor with strong patient service skills
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and sit for extended periods
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally
- Manual dexterity required for clinical procedures and documentation
