Student Nurse Med-Surg NT Per Diem MMH

Responsibilities

As part of a patient‑first approach, nurse interns are given a valuable opportunity to partner with a registered nurse, nurse preceptor, or other licensed healthcare professional to develop critical thinking skills and experience to ensure a smooth transition in clinical practice upon graduation from an accredited nursing or other accredited occupational program. They create and nurture relationships with patients, family, community, colleagues, and staff in a caring and healing environment, exercising teamwork skills within a professional practice environment.

They strive for excellent patient safety and quality outcomes.

Educational Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• Vocational/Technical School/Diploma
• Associate's degree
• Bachelor's Degree
• Master's Degree
• Other:
  Completion of Level 1 Fundamentals of Nursing

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Active enrollment in an accredited RN or LPN Program
• Completion of at least one semester of an accredited RN or LPN Program

Required Experience

• Prior Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) experience
