Responsibilities

Under the direction of a licensed nurse, the Patient Care Specialist is responsible and accountable for providing supportive patient care. The Unit Assistant assumes responsibility for facilitating unit operations under the direction of the registered nurse, including clerical work, stocking, ordering, and transporting as well as specified patient care duties. Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED – Required
• Vocational/Technical School Diploma – Preferred
• Associate’s Degree – Not Required
• Bachelor’s Degree – Not Required
• Master’s Degree – Not Required

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• State of Florida Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) License – Required

Experience:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification – Required
