Must live 100 miles away, 5 eight-hour shifts from 0630 to 1500, 7 call shifts for a six-week period, 3 weekend shifts, and 4 weekday shifts.
Description:
The operating room nurse is responsible for scrubbing and/or circulating duties for operative procedures. The nurse will manage department admissions to the operative suite. The nurse adheres to standards and appropriate aseptic techniques. This role involves consulting and coordinating with team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate intraoperative patient care plans. The nurse serves as a communication liaison to patients, families, and members of the operating team.
Preparation of the operating room for the patient and surgical procedure is required. The nurse will assemble equipment and supplies, ensuring all equipment is functional, and all necessary supplies/implants are available.
