  • Coordinate daily shift operations by assessing patient acuity, census, admissions, discharges, transfers, staffing assignments, and immediate unit needs.

  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing leadership, admissions staff, and interdisciplinary treatment teams to support safe patient flow and continuity of care.
  • Promote a safe, therapeutic, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented environment that supports de-escalation, patient dignity, suicide risk mitigation, substance withdrawal safety, and behavioral health stabilization.
  • Participate in shift huddles, communication handoffs, incident follow-up, safety rounds, and operational updates to promote accountability, teamwork, and consistent practice across units and shifts.
