About this role:

Kidde Global Solutions (KGS), a portfolio company of Lone Star Funds, is seeking a Lab Technician to join our team who can execute and deliver precision testing of our fire and CO detection products. In this role, you will focus on the product testing, creation of testing protocols and requirements validation to ensure quality performance for our customers and agencies from around the world.

You will also use your technical skills to support product validation within Global Lab organization.

This is an onsite role for someone living near Bradenton, FL and will require 5-10% traveling in the US based on project priorities and needs.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize complex test documentation for product validation testing to ensure products are compliant IACW industry regulations for life safety products.
  • Test and validate early-stage life safety products to assist in developing critical life safety consumer products.
  • Document test results in an organized manner within a global lab organization to track and monitor test progression.
  • Work with cross functional engineering teams to assist in complex route cause analysis to create reliable and industry leading life safety products.
  • Understands how to read/interpret electrical and mechanical schematics to help understand test requirements.
Basic Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3+ years of experience working as a lab technician with consumer electronics.
  • 3+ years of experience using digital and analog testing equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent self-task management/prioritization and documentation skills in a R&D or lab environment.
  • Understands how to read and interpret schematics, installation sheets, and bill of materials.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with little to no supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with others in a team environment.
  • Experience working in an electronics test environment.
  • Familiarity with UL standards.
  • Experience in Jira or other similar process tools.
  • Must be able to work both independently, as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to adapt to change.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies.
